$47,500 Great Buy!
|
This restored Austin Healey has a unique story that you don’t hear very often. This is a true one owner car from new! The owner bought the car new in 1965 and drove it to work during the summers. The odometer shows 40,138 miles, and the owner’s son tells us that’s correct. The title is also states that it’s the correct mileage. The car underwent a full restoration in 1999-2000, and sadly, the owner passed away shortly afterwards. The car was put in storage and we just picked it up in March of 2009. When the car was restored it was taken completely apart, stripped to bare metal, and completely restored. The engine was rebuilt for peace of mind, and new upholstery was put in. The paint is in good condition. The metal repair on the car looks like it was done quite well. The chassis is painted just as well as the body, and all the new parts were welded in correctly. All the chassis metal was replaced with correct parts. The chrome is in average condition with a couple parts that should get re-chromed. The wheels are painted and look good. The interior is in very good condition. The top is in great shape except for one small hole. The engine runs well, and we’ll be rebuilding the carburetors and installing electronic ignition. Overall, this is the perfect car for the Healey lover looking for a strong driver that looks great! |
1954 Austin Healey 100 V8

All this was done without altering the frame and maintaining the original integrity of the car providing for a meaner, faster and better looking Healey! |
1956 Austin Healey 100 V8 Corvette 283
This very special car is truly one of a kind. This is a 1956 Austin Healey 100 with a Corvette 283 ci V8 engine. This is one “bad” and “mean” machine. This is not a kit car or replica. It has 4 barrel Holley Carbs, Muncy M-2 4 speed and a Hurst Shifter. The engine was completely taken apart and rebuilt less then 300 miles ago. The exhaust lets out a roar when you get on the throttle and first start the car. There is no mistaking what is under the hood is NOT a Healey engine. It has polished flat side pipes that look awesome. It attracts a crowd anywhere you go. The wiring on the car was all recently redone and custom by a professional. In addition, all gauges are electric and new. A simulated wood grain dash was added and looks great. The interior is custom and fitted and really looks great. The tonneau cover matches the interior.
This great car has deeper dish wire wheels. The front brakes have been converted to discs. The car has original fenders and panels on the car (all steel and aluminum) with flares added on the fenders to accommodate the wider wheels. Also the radiator has been recored and an auxiliary fan has been installed. A brand new brushed aluminum gas tank has also been installed. The engine has been placed back further for better balance and handling when driving. The paint overall is excellent. Not brand new, but still very nice. A few chips here and there because the car has been driven, as it should be and is an absolute BLAST to drive! This car is truly unique. It is available for a price that is much less then the cost to build or replicate. In addition a price that will appreciate as you enjoy driving this spectacular car.

1920 Bugatti Type 13 Brescia
Harwood Enterprises takes great pride in offering an extremely rare much sought after
Bugatti Type 13 Brescia. This car has 16 valves, dual ignition, with a two seat race
body. It has the original French title. This car was built in 1920. This Bugatti was partially destroyed after the war and rebuilt. It was stored for several years
during the 1970’s. There are several rebuilt and original parts on this car. This car runs very well, and is very reliable. The Type 13 was the first real Bugatti car. Production of the Type 13 and later Types 15, 17, 22, and 23, began with the company's founding in 1910 and lasted through 1920 with 435 examples produced. Most road cars used an 8-valve engine, though five Type 13 racers had 16 valve heads, one of the first ever produced. The road cars became known as "pur-sang" ("thoroughbred") in keeping with Ettore Bugatti's feelings for his designs. This is a very special car and worthy of serious
consideration for the serious collector!

1949 Jaguar XK120 Alloy - National Award Winner!
This 1949 Jaguar XK 120 has recently completed a full restoration and is in immaculate condition. It has many ties to California International Motors in Hollywood and raced at the first Cal Club Road Race April 16, 1950 at Palm Springs. Roger Barlow (of Blue Simca fame) was the co-founder of Cal Club Road Race with John Von Newman in 1948. Roger Barlow was also the owner of International Motors and the first owner of this rare XK 120. Roger raced this XK 120 chassis #670033 at Palm Spring 1950. This car has recently won several awards including: Amelia Island Road & Track Award, JCNA Louisville Concours class C1 First Place, Cincinnati Ault Park First in Class and Grand Marshall Honorary Award of Distinction, Jaguar Association of Central Ohio 35th Annual Concours d’ Elegance First Place, and Meadowbrook Concours d’ Elegance Best Driving Award. |
1949 Jaguar XK120 Alloy OTS - Original and Extremely Rare!
The Jaguar XK 120 entered into production in 1949, and was instantly in high demand. The first 244 XK 120s—including the car on offer here—were clad entirely in aluminum with an ash frame. Originally, Jaguar did not intend a production run for the XK120. It was only after showing the alloy car that the demand for its performance and exquisite styling prompted the conversion to a steel body and the classic sports car we know today. Beginning with the 1950 model year, a production version had a steel pressed body with alloy doors, bonnet, and trunk skin.
Harwood Enterprises is very excited to offer one of the last unrestored alloys in existence #670054! It is a matching numbers car with a Heritage Certificate to prove its authenticity. This car has been constructed to the traditional method of aluminum paneling over an ash and steel frame. This is a black plate California car which was registered and has been driven since its production.
With solid wood and all the right places, this early alloy is complete. The car has had a re spray but other than that is all original.
These cars represented the best of the best, with their advantageous power-to-weight ratio courtesy of the alloy body and the highly tunable, dual-overhead-cam XK engine. This engine was used in production Jaguars in successive stages of development through 1987.

You can always restore them, but cannot put them back to original condition and are only original once! |
1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS - Recent Restoration!
The "120" in its name referred to its 120 mph (193 km/h) top speed (faster with the windscreen removed), which made the XK120 the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. With alloy cylinder head and twin side draft SU carburetors, the dual overhead-cam 3.4 L straight-6 XK engine was comparatively advanced for a mass-produced unit of the time. With standard 8:1 compression ratio it developed 160 bhp (119 kW). Harwood is pleased to offer this elegant 1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS.
Not only does it have the coveted Jaguar beauty, but this car is all the more stunning in the classic british racing green exterior and biscuit interior. It is an excellent running car that has the distinct Jaguar deep throated exhaust note. Many receipts of the restoration are available along with pictures of the process. One cannot restore a Jaguar XK120 for the price of this car - and - its already done!

1957 Jaguar XK140 Drophead - Very Rare!
Harwod is honored to present the rarest of the Jaguar XK140 range; the fully convertible Drophead Coupe! These models were hand built with extremely low production. The dropheads are considered by collectors of fine vintage classic automobiles to be one of the best looking, best performing and handling, driving and braking machines of their day. High collector demand and very scarce supply make this a very special car! This car is british racing green with green leather interior and Black cloth top. It has a 4-speed Moss gearbox and chrome wire wheels. Restored approximately five years ago by well-known Northeast restoration specialists, Automotive Restorations, no expense was spared. It has been driven approximately 2,000 miles since the restoration. Recently serviced, it is in exceptional condition throughout and ready for immediate use. Jaguar XK-140 serial # S81725DN |

1963 Jaguar XKE S1 - National Award Winner!
Harwood Enterprises is pleased to offer this Jaguar roadster that has undergone an extensive rotisserie restoration. The owner and restorer went to great lengths to use all the original parts from the car, rather than buy replacements. Since it was restored this car has only been driven 18 miles. It received a Junior AACA National first place award in 2006, and a Senior AACA National first in 2007. The paint and bodywork is perfect, and the panel gaps are what you’d expect on a restoration of this level. Every piece of chrome was rechromed, to a show level, not purchased new. The wiring is completely rebuilt, and the correct Lucas headlamps are in place. The headlight covers are even the original glass. All the correct parts are cad plated, not painted. The underbody is just a perfect as the topside, and painted to match. The gauges and steering wheel are original and refurbished. The interior is all new, including the convertible top, which has only been folded down a handful of times since it was installed. Any time it was folded, a towel was put in place on the rear window to avoid any marks or creases. A completely restored hard top comes with the car as well, painted black. The engine, transmission, and rear end are totally rebuilt. Under the bonnet you’ll even find the correct Chaney hose clamps, and the original spark plug caps! The radiator is an original rebuilt core from England. The car comes with lots of documentation and a Heritage Certificate. We could list paragraphs of details on this car, but the photos should speak for themselves. Please call or email with any questions, you won’t find another S1 XKE out there like this one! |
1971 Mercedes 280 SL - Air Conditioning
The 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL is highly desirable collector car all over the world. The 1971 model was even more collectible since it was that last year of this body style and less that 800 were manufactured. It came with 2.8-liter inline 6-cylinder, with 180 horsepower from the 'M 130' Bosch fuel injection engine @ 6500 rpm, four wheel disc brakes. This car has a very stunning color combination of Silver with Chocolate Brown interior. It has an automatic transmission and AIR CONDITIONING. This great car has spent almost its entire life in CA. The car was sold new in Beverly Hills. It has a hard top and brand new soft top. The odometer shows 19,109 miles. This is an excellent example of a higher end driver type car that is very clean throughout and rust free throughout! A great investment and driver quality car!
|
1969 Mercedes Benz 280SL Roadster
This Mercedes 280SL has been restored in the very stunning color combination of white with red interior. While not a show car, this is a very nice reliable rust free driver that can be enjoyed. It has a new top and most of the chrome looks like it has been redone. A great example available for a very fair price! |
1970 Plymouth Road Runner
In 2002 this Plymouth Road Runner began an extensive restoration. This included total disassembly, new floor pans, trunk pans, trunk extensions, quarter panels, wheel housings, trunk lid, driver’s and passenger doors, new moldings, gaskets and rubber parts, new interior door panels and carpets, and a new convertible top and boot. A “go-wing was added along with new tires and wheels. The car was painted the correct original color; Jade Green Metallic. The engine was rebuilt to factory specs. It now has 7,000 miles on it. New Edelbrock 4 barrel carbs were installed. The transmission was rebuilt to factory specs.
Now here are the anomalies…The restoration was halted in 2006 due to the owner’s illness. It is about 85% done. While you cannot tell from a distance, the chrome bumpers could use rechroming or replacement. The front and back seats could use recovering. The 1970 Road Runner came with a bench seat, not buckets. The engine is a rebuilt 1973 383 CI. It has a Chrysler rear end. Paint work needs attention i.e. wet sanding and buffing. Originally, the car had a 4 speed tranny but now it is an automatic. For a person not
“hooked’ on originality wanting a strong “driver,” the car is good to go “as is”. Mechanically, it is very strong. For a person who would like to finish the restoration and correct the anomalies, it would be a fun project!
